In this experience, you’ll get to explore a set recreating a typical Japanese school, complete with iconic classrooms, cafeteria, nurse office and more! You’re free to take photos throughout the experience and create unique memories along the way.
Strange “anomalies” appear all throughout the school!
The anomalies you discover become the key to unraveling the mystery of the story.
With no time limit, you can fully immerse yourself in the experience!
All participants will receive their own personalized Student ID, just like real Japanese school students, featuring their name written in Katakana!

During your trip to Japan, you decide to step inside an old Japanese school to investigate an urban legend that has been spreading online…

It might be a bit foolish, but your curiosity was stronger than your common sense.
Some nights are just like that.

Because of that curiosity, you soon find yourself caught up in a strange and mysterious story.

Your mission is to explore the school, uncover its hidden anomalies,
and solve the mystery behind two bizarre murders.

And as you take your first step into the old building, you realize...

...that this single step marks the beginning of a one-of-a-kind experience you won't easily forget.

About the event

This event involves moving around the venue. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking.

This is a drop-in event that you can join either alone or with a group. If you plan to play with people you know, please purchase tickets for the same date and time.

There is no time limit. It takes approximately 90 minutes to complete the experience.

Due to the difficulty of the puzzles, this event is recommended for participants aged 12 and older (junior high school level and above).

As there is no storage space provided for this event, you will need to carry your belongings with you at all times. Please bring only essential items.

Please take responsibility for your valuables.

As a general rule, re-entry during the event is not permitted. In case of an emergency, please inform a nearby staff member if you need to re-enter.

About Tickets

A ticket is required to participate. Please purchase one ticket per participant and be sure to bring it with you on the day of the event.

Tickets are only valid on the date and time written/displayed on the ticket.

Advanced Tickets can be purchased until 11:59 PM on the day before the date of participation.

If Advanced Tickets for a session are sold out online, there will be no On-the-day Tickets either.

Please check the Ticket Calendar under the venue you will participate at for information about purchasing tickets on the day of the event.

All tickets are non-refundable after purchase. Please double-check all the information carefully before purchasing tickets.

Every participating player of the team must be present when you check in.

Please check in within 20 minutes of the time indicated on your ticket and let the staff know which chapter you wish to play. Participants will begin in the order of check-in.

You may be asked to wait up to 20 minutes before the game begins. Please allow plenty of time for your visit.

Age Guidelines

Due to both the difficulty level and as a safety precaution, children age 12 and below must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (age 18 and above). Children age 12 and below cannot form a group on their own.

Children age 6 and above will require a ticket to join. Make sure you purchase the correct number of tickets, and don't forget to bring it on the day.

Children age 5 and below, if accompanied by a parent/guardian (age 18 and above), can participate for free.

Regarding strollers, please refer to the section "About the experience". Some venues may require you to fold your stroller closed before entering.

About Cloak

Although availability is limited, a paid cloak service is available at the service counter on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Mystery Circus. If you wish to use the cloak, please do so before entering the venue for "The Spooky School Urban Legend Investigation".

Language Support

This event is available in English and Japanese. Please note that the two versions are not the same, even though they share some puzzles and story.

Photography / Recording

Photography inside the venue is limited to still images only. However, we strictly prohibit posting any videos online, as well as uploading photos that reveal puzzle answers, solutions, or any elements that may spoil the production.

About Spoilers

For the sake of future guests who will attend the event, it is strictly prohibited to reveal details about the event content or game items on blogs, social media sites, or anywhere else online.
However, you are welcome to share your thoughts and impressions or post photos as long as they are unrelated to the puzzles. Sharing photos of yourself enjoying the event is highly appreciated!

Is this event a scary attraction like a haunted house?: Although the event features themes related to the the occult, it does not include any scare‑based elements or jump‑scares.
Can I enjoy this even if it’s my first time playing a Real Escape Game?: Absolutely! You can enjoy the event even if it’s your first time.
You will be able to check hints freely during the event, so please feel at ease and have fun.
Are there assigned seats or ticket numbers?: There are no assigned seats or ticket numbers.
Is there an age limit?: There is no age limit to participate. The recommended age for this event is 12 and above (junior high school age or older). However, due to the difficulty of the puzzles, children in elementary school or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older.

Children of age 5 and under can be brought into the game by a guardian who is age 18 and above, and do not require a ticket.
Can children enjoy the event as well?: Participants who can read, write, and communicate in Japanese at an upper‑elementary school level or above are welcome to join.
However, the recommended age for this event is 12 and above (junior high school age or older). Children in elementary school or younger will need support from a parent or guardian to fully enjoy the event.
Is it okay to share spoilers once the event period has ended?: This event is planned to be held at additional venues in the future. To ensure that future participants can fully enjoy the experience, please refrain from posting any spoilers on social media even after the event period has ended.
Can I play along with someone playing the Japanese version?: No. The game area is the same, but the puzzles and story differ.
Do I need to bring anything for the event?: This event involves walking around the venue to solve puzzles. Please wear comfortable shoes.
You will also need a smartphone with an active internet connection during the event. Please note that any data charges incurred for internet use will be your responsibility.
Since you will be watching videos on your smartphone, please make sure to bring your own earphones.

About the Event

There are no tables or chairs. You will move around the hall as you participate in the game.

You will be moving around while up to about 80 other participants are also walking in the space.

You will progress through the game by checking information placed around the venue and using various items.

You will watch videos and enter answers using your own smartphone.
